Recently, James Lindsay has been working on the idea of communism/marxism as a religion. That was a very intriguing thought and since I was already working on the timeline of Mikhail Gorbachev’s “conversion”, the fall of the Soviet Union and Gorbachev’s organizing activities at the Presidio in San Francisco beginning in 1992, I took a detour in my research to think about his.
It had always been my understanding that communism was a God-less ideology in which The State confiscates property and the labors of people to re-distribute to the entire population “from each according to his ability, to each according to his need“. Setting aside the “sharing and caring” crapola, reducing it to the essense, communism becomes a management system for the resources and assets of the nation-state. So where does religion fit into that scheme? Cutting to the chase, religion becomes a marketing tool to get people to buy into the idea of surrender their autonomy and the fruits of their labor “to serve the whole“. Once that autonomy is surrendered (forcibly or not), the mask is pulled off, all moral foundations disappear and a brutal system of confiscation and control is revealed. The people are enslaved by an authoritarian police state system leaving them powerless to do anything but bow to the marxists who are running The State.
Where we are at this point in the communist revolution is mid-way. The government has been transformed into the early state of a totalitarian system. The way this revolution has been carried out is through “community organization” funded by the U.S. government through grants issued by the agencies of government. Private sector “social agents” have been embedded in our communities empowered through these grants and by grants issued through corporate foundations implementing the concepts of “sustainable development”.
The term “sustainable development” is a brilliant concept. The words are simple – everybody knows the definitions. This allows people hearing them for the first time, to assume they know what the phrase means without further inquiry. That couldn’t be more wrong. Embedded within the simple words is the entire package for conversion of the American system of government to a marxist, totalitarian system of control.
Put another way, Sustainable Development is a term of art. It is a logical substitution of one idea for another. If the Marxists expressed the true objective which is totalitarian control, nobody would buy it. However, Sustainable Development as a concept for preserving the environment is not only acceptable, it’s noble. We’re going to save Bambi. We’re going to save that endangered field mouse by confiscating the property of the farmer where the mouse was found (never mind the fact, that new species can be genetically engineered any time a new endangered species is needed.)
In my simplistic way of thinking, that makes marxists – word wizards. Word wizards construct concepts that are marketable to the unsuspecting public. They can substitute one idea for another to make it socially acceptable achieving their goals of control without tipping off the majority of the public until the moment when they can spring the trap. What that means is that public can’t accept anything said by people in the public sphere at face value. All dialogue must be logic checked to see if and how it fits into the agenda of control.
April 22, 2024 – James Lindsay talks about the United Nations and Robert Muller, a UN career civil servant from the beginning of the UN in 1945.
I just listened to a newly posted video of an event that happened six years ago when James Lindsay, Peter Boghossian and Helen Pluckrose began talking about the hoax scholarly papers they wrote on the social justice. In this discussion, you can hear them unpacking and dissecting the ideology that had taken over academia. It proves my point of marxists begin word wizards. Thankfully however, the wizards hoisted themselves on their own petard. Word Wizards of the past were very smart people who could package concepts in a subtle way. Because of DEI, the marxists who are word wizards today, aren’t that smart. The logical constructions for symbolic replacement are actually stupid. James, Peter and Helen proved that fact.
