The following is a quick and dirty timeline for fascism in America and the world brought to you through the miracles of technology.
The conversion to so-called 21st century government began during the Reagan Administration with the break-up of Bell Companies phone systems and the de-regulation of the gas market which led to the creation of Enron – a virtual energy company. (Try heating your home with virtual energy). Reagan also established the international zone on our southern border with Mexico and he negotiated the free trade agreement with Canada effectively creating a region of the Americas. The treaty creating the international zone was informally known as the La Paz treaty.
The George H.W. Bush Administration continued the initiative to end the United States as a sovereign nation when he began negotiations on the NAFTA agreement. He began those negotiations with the Enterprise of the Americas initiative.
The Clinton Administration continued with the end of U.S. sovereignty signing the NAFTA agreement again but with the addition of two side agreements – one for the environment and one for labor. The Clinton Administration then continued on the complete the sovereignty ending legislation implementing the Marrakesh Agreement that resulted in the establishment of the World Trade Organization. There were two components to the WTO – Trade in Goods and Trade in Services. (A service is a person or a job).
The Clinton Administration had two major objectives: implement the Rio agreements on the environment and shift of the economic basis of the U.S. from manufacturing to technology. The shift to focus on technology is seen through the “reinvention of government” programs and initiatives.
All of the above is the big wind-up for explaining how the technocratic conversion of our government to be a fascist totalitarian system of government implemented through computer systems and networks – read Internet.
